Planting the Seeds of Hope in Christ and Producing Disciples

Jesus said, “Unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many new seeds.” John 12:24

Here at Plains Church, our goal is to die to ourselves daily and plant our lives into our community.

Just as a farmer plants his seeds into the ground in hopes of a harvest, we believe God has planted each one of us here for His great harvest. Therefore, we cultivate our hope in Christ and plant that hope through our words and actions in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Serve and Support Our Community

Plains Church has served Sumner and Harper counties since 1928 and is part of the Wesleyan tradition.

We are committed to bringing the good news of Jesus to everyone and extending His hands and feet to our community in genuine and useful ways.

Whether it’s raking yards for the elderly … changing the oil for single moms’ cars … painting a building for beautification … or babysitting so couples can enjoy a date night, we are here to serve and support those around us.

No need is too small nor too big when we rally together.
